Our analysis

The attainment gap between under resourced children and their peers is greater in the South West than any other English region. When combined with poor outcomes for high attainers at every stage of the school journey, this means that under resourced children in the South West face some of the greatest barriers to higher education progression of any children in the country.

Our approach

We bring together South West schools and leading universities to increase high attainment and progression to high tariff higher education.

Our organisation

​We are a school-centred charity, committed to using cross-sector collaboration to improve long-term outcomes for under resourced children. We do so through strong regional partnerships with schools, colleges, multi-academy trusts, leading universities and educational charities, and through our collaboration with the South West Institute for Teaching and Colyton Grammar School, a regional centre of excellence for high attainment.
